BIOMED???change major

So, i got in for biological science..
i was just wondering if i could change that to biomed/premed??

only if there’s room

I was under the impression that its very hard to switch into the engineering majors before starting at school. Your best bet would be to try at or before orientation, if they say no don’t worry about because you still have a chance.
Here are the requirements to change your major into engineering:
[UCI Change of Major Criteria: Henry Samueli School of Engineering](http://www.changeofmajor.uci.edu/CoM_Engr.html)

My best advice if they do not let you in at orientation would be to take the courses a BME would normally take anyways. Though you might want to at least try to talk with a counselor at orientation to see what they would recommend. You can find the sample here:
[2008-09 UCI Catalogue: Engineering](<a href=“UCI General Catalogue Archives”>UCI General Catalogue Archives)
When you start school you can make an appointment or walk in(depends look at the department website) to a Bio-med Eng Advisor and talk with them about what they recommend, when you can change, what is required.

ONLY do this is you are dead set on changing majors because it will set you back in Bio if you do not take Bio 93 first quarter( Maybe just do Bio 93, BME 1, and Chem? If you have math done with Calc. w/e talk with a counselor!)
