Biomedical/Chemical Engineering Advice

So I just graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and pretty much hate it, so I'm currently attending my same school with a major in Biochemistry which I could complete in two years. The thing is, I'd like to go into Chemical or Biomedical Engineering but my school doesn't have an Engineering program. A larger state school than the one I attend does, however, and I could get a Master's in either field with a B.S. in Biochem if I complete a semester's worth of Engineering coursework beforehand. I could transfer into their undergraduate program but that would extend my Bachelor's completion to 3 years plus.
Basically, would I be better off getting a B.S. in Biochemistry and then a M.S. in one of the aforementioned fields, or transferring as an undergrad and getting a Bachelors in Chemical or Biomedical Engineering?

As a side note, I only need 18 courses for the Biochem as opposed to 27 if I transferred; so basically I could also double major/minor if I stay at the same school.

I would post this in the Engineering forum.

If you want to go into engineering, then transfer to the engineering program. If you get the biochem degree then the master’s you still have to complete the prerequisite engineering classes.

As for time needed, I am among the few in this world who has a BS in accounting, then later returned for a BS in Chem Eng. It took me from January 1990 to May 1992, including summers, to complete the ChemE degree. I worked my tail off since it was all techinical courses, which included all introductory classes except calc 1 and 2.
