'Biomedical Computation' Major

Anyone have info on this 'individually designed major'? Perhaps someone could share experience at Stanford as a BMC major, or Physics and/or math major. These 3 are concentrations that I am reading up on and considering before I enter as a junior transfer this fall, but am not sure which major will suit me best. Comments on class sizes, professors, rigor, and even graduate placement etc. would be appreciated. Thanks!

thanks zephyr for info on the symposium. does anyone have firsthand experience with BMC? thanks!

I’d like to revive the question posed here: Does anyone on CC have any personal experience or more in-depth knowledge of this major. For some background, I’m considering pre-med, though I’m certainly open to other paths. My only fear regarding a major such as this is its effectiveness as a “contingency major”. That is, if by any chance, I do not choose to pursue medicine, where would I be left career-wise? Would it be better to pursue a more established major/discipline? I appreciate any input on the matter.

bumpity bump bump bump

Anybody???
