Biomedical Eng. interest but some restrictions

Hello,
Currently I am going to be a sophomore at Grove City College. At every other college I applied to I was going to do biomedical engineering, but Grove City College (GCC) doesnt have that so I choose electrical engineering with the hope of doing biomedical engineering in grad school.
My questions is would electrical or mechanical engineering be better for me to choose for sophomore year in order to have the best hope of doing biomedical engineering at grad school? I know both are not on the direct route to biomedical engineering, but I wonder which would be more appropriate for helping me out in the future.

Thanks a lot,
John

I am a current BME student. Whether to choose EE or MechE depends on your area of interest. If your interested in bioelectrics (the heart and brain), then go with EE; if you prefer things like prosthetics or anything having to do with mechanics (strength of tissues, etc.) go with MechE. Either choice isn't that far from BME. Also, you'll find that most of your BME professors don't have BME degrees because it's such a new field.
