Considering admission from these schools for an undergraduate degree in BME. Roughly 10K merit scholarships from each.

BU seems to be ranked in the top-10 in BME
Rutgers seems to be a growing program

Any personal experience with these programs? Thoughts on how you would rate them?

Thanks

In the past, we had a few posters who were in the program at BU and really liked it, but it's not a large program, is a speciality and thus there isn't a big pool of expertise.

I don't know if it matters, but BU is in Boston where gobs and gobs of research is done.

Hi. How do you compare Rutgers BME with Stony Brook, UConn, and RPI? I was admitted by all of them at BME. I live in MA and pay out of state tuition. Rutgers- 23K, Stony Brook- 10k(3k assistantship), UConn- 13K(new england region tuition) and RPI-32K(5K assistantship).
I need to decide before or by May 1st. Any inputs are appreciated.

this is a bu thread, most of us can really only tell you about bu, maybe some other boston schools, but not really any of those.

I don’t know any way you could compare the programs. You’ll have to look at $$, what you think fits you best, etc.

RPI $51,000
Rutgers $35,000
Stony Brook $21,000
UConn $25,800

The above are the schools I have been admitted to undergraduate biomedical engineering program and each cost of attendance to me.

My question are:
Is each of them worth the money?
Which one is the best choice?
What is reputation for Rutgers outside of NJ?

people in those threads really might be able to help you out better than any of us.
