Biomedical engineer major or minor?

I am considering become a biomedical engineer. That is really the only engineering discipline that I am interested in, as I want to work in a clinical setting. Is it easier to get jobs as a clinical biomedical engineer if I had my masters or would I be better off majoring in ME and minoring in BME, even if my interest is not in ME. Also, what universities have the best BME job placement and connections?

There are actually a lot of other threads on the topic. Read some of those for information.

" That is really the only engineering discipline that I am interested in, as I want to work in a clinical setting." - It’s not my field (I’m a Mech Eng), but I’ve never envisioned biomed engineers in a clinical setting. Perhaps others who know more can add their thoughts.

Don’t biomedical engineers sometimes work in hospitals?
