Biomedical Engineering at Yale

Hey guys I am really interested in the Biomed Engineering at Yale.
I know there are some universities a lot better than Yale for Engineering but on the other hand I think this makes it easier to get into Yale than general. Or am I wrong?
I am seriously considering a gap year. Do I stand a chance of acceptance just with perfect SATs and awesome EC's but in various fields, other than Biomedical Engineering, and no honors and awards in Biology and Maths?
Could someone accepted to this program shares his stats?

Thanks in advance :)

You are not accepted to a specific program, but to Yale College. Take a look at the results threads from the past few years to get an idea of who gets in and, more shockingly, who doesn’t.

You don’t mention a killer GPA. That’s the very first thing you need.

There are very few seats in engineering at Yale. So assuming that it would be easy to get into Yale because you are a wanna be engineer does not usually work.
