<p>I’d say UCSD is much better than UCI in terms of medical bioengineering research opportunities. I mean there are tons of institutions established there from the biotechnological industry. There are also alot of chances to do internships at UCSD. </p>
<p>UCI is pretty good too in terms of research but it doesn’t have as much of those connections as UCSD.</p>
<p>Hmm thats what i thought do you know any other UC schools close to UCSD biomedical program prestige other than la or berkley those arw out of my reach lol</p>

<p>It looks like the BioE programs at both schools are ABET accredited (other than the Pre-Med/BioE major - whatever that is supposed to be, lol). So yeah… I’d take SD over UCI for BioE because that’s what SD is known for. UCI has a good (read: well respected) engineering program with lots of job opportunities in the surrounding area, though!</p>
