Don’t know about BME but people go to Drexel because they want a coop program. All students do coop. So you would have to be interested in that to consider going there.

I currently go to Drexel for BME and am impressed with the program. I entered an accelerated program where I will receive both my Bachelors and Masters degrees in 5 years as well as complete 3 six month co-ops. Having the three co-ops is going to be what gets you a job after college, employers care more about experience than education. Some of the BME co-ops that Drexel Students get are with great companies too such as Johnson & Johnson, St. Jude Medical, Merck, and Stryker.

Wow thats sounds like what i am looking for, do you think i have a chance at the accelerated program

Milwaukee School of Engineering. Has one of oldest (Certified -BMES) programs in country. BS in Biomed requires about 190hrs credit there. Make sure the program you
choose is CERTIFIED!!, (I think BMES is the cert. organization.) Downside is that
you need a MS level degree to be employable. Many choose BS in EE, with MS
in Bio.E. Right now with this economy- almost no one hiring the Bio.Eng. Many are
working in hospitals as repair technicians.

Are you because it is big in new jersey?

hizzy77 — you need to do some research. Does Princeton have BME? Not the last time I looked. Its bioengineering is really more of ChemE program. Now, Rutgers, New Brunswick has a very big name and a top research center. Maybe an opportunity for you? Search Google Scholar. See what is being put out by profs at what schools. Find out what aspect of this interdisciplinary area interest you.
