have you guys seen anyone post that theyve gotten in for this? i have not

Friend did weeks ago, not sure if he was an honors applicant

applied to this major but haven’t heard anything yet.

stat:
UC gpa: 3.86
SAT I: 2240
Ecs and essay are good.

Forgot to mention, he got in the same time cal poly slo sent out acceptances. Somewhere in the very end of february or very early march.

I applied for biomedical engineering and have not heard.

biomedical and have not heard

Oh and I got accepted at Davis and SB with these stats:

uw 3.7, w 4.2
sat 1960
act 30
SAT II MathII 760, Chem 740, Bio 700
ECs - sports, theater and volunteering

yeha i got into davis biomed eng with similar stats as you.
davis is ranked 20th in the nation now, much better than uci’s program. do you think we have a good chance still? the acceptance rate last year for biomed at uci was 62%

yeah I’m really interested in Davis for biomed and they have a really strong bio program, which is my second choice. I just want to know if I got into UCI so I can weigh my options. Still waiting for UCLA tomorrow as well but at least they post everyone’s at once. How do you know they have a 62% acceptance rate for biomed? That seems high. Surely we have good enough stats if their acceptance rate is so high.

http://www.oir.uci.edu/adm/IA19-fall-fr-select-yield-by-major.pdf thats for 2011, scroll down to biomedical engineering. it makes more sense for me financially to stay home though

@ryboy what are you stats

thanks for the link. my app only says biomedical engineering so i don’t know which one i put but doesn’t seem to matter. both are the highest acceptance rates, except for ce. guess we’ll both have to wait and see. good luck!

I was accepted into UCI as a Biomedical Engineer on what I think was the 3rd wave on March 9th.

@radians what are your stats?

~3.85 - UW GPA
~4.33 - W GPA

1850 - SATI
720 - BIOM SATII
600 - PHYSICS SATII

In terms of science coursework, took Bio1, AP Bio 2, AP & IB Bio 3, AP Physics (3), H Chemistry, AP CALC.

Fair ECs, Fair community service (I was in CSF).
Poor essays.

I think I got in because of my bio sat and maybe my science focused coursework. I got waitlisted from UCSD. I think you guys will be okay.

Thanks for posting radian! you definitely have a better gpa than I do. I did not apply to ucsd because i just didn’t like it when i visited. congrats!

@Ryboy1, No problem man. I remember what it was like waiting for my decision… it sucked. You have a better sat, and your bio sat is still high, I think you’ll get in. Thanks, and goodluck!

Accepted Biomed last week UC Davis and UC irvine. Did not get Biomed( 1st choice ) at UCSD, they accepted me for chemical engineering.
uw gpa 3.9, w gpa 4.33, sat 2040, 7 AP’s, good essays/ recs, fair ec.

Good luck to those still waiting.

Accepted to biomedical engineering in early march!
