Biomedical Engineering

I’m applying to a few universities for Biomedical Engineering for the 2016-2017 year. I’ve taken biology from 7th grade till 11th grade. Will the fact that I’m not taking biology this year (12th grade) decrease my chances of getting in? If yes, will taking the SAT subject test in biology make a difference? Thanks in advance.

No, it will not. Did you take AP Biology? If so, then it should be enough. If you haven’t, maybe you should contemplate taking it.
Getting a 800 on Bio-M will help you as well.

Are you taking any science this year? You should have a science every year, and the range should cover all the basic including chemistry and physics.

Thank you for the prompt response. The thing is, I go to school overseas, and so I don’t know what level biology I take. However, it is pretty advanced, possibly AP level.

Mommyrocks, I am taking physics and chemistry this year, but not biology.

You don’t need to take Biology every year. There’s only so much bio you can take (Generally Honors Bio then AP Bio) so you’ll be fine if you don’t take Bio senior year.
Do well on the subject test to show your ability.

Thanks a lot
