Also what are the average statistics for students at the school of engineering?

Thank you

bump!!!

Your total SAT scores don’t mean much. What are your math scores for your SAT I and II?

right now i only have a 640 in math, and i havent taken SAT IIs yet,
but im taking the march SAT and hoping that i can reach 710

how competitive is the engineering school at USC?

Viterbi is very competitive. I know people who work in their admissions department and the caliber of schools that they compare themselves to are Caltech and MIT. I’m not joking about this. I don’t have a source to back this up but from what I’ve seen, Viterbi doesn’t care as much about the reading/writing scores on your SAT. However, a 700+ is a must, seeing as the average score is probably above a 750.

Annecdotally, may pre-med & other healthcare types major in biomedical engineering, so it’s an extremely competitive field. There are a LOT of NMFs in USC engineering. I believe you definitely need to take the SATII for MathII & score well. Math in the engineering school is challenging, or has been for my S, who is now a senior in EE there.
