Hi
I am sorry if I am repeating the same thread as before, but my question is what would you guys recommend me to do. Which degree (BS) would give more job opportunities if I can't do graduate programs? I know biomed is considered a pre-med degree, so that's what I am worried about. But it seems a Phd in biomed would be better than a BS, so would it be better to take microbiology and then a biomed Phd? or continue with a BS biomed and then its Phd?

bump… anyone?

Biology has the lowest paying jobs among sciences.

so you’re saying I should do biomedical sciences right?

Hate to say it, but you probably won’t find a job either way.
The market is very, very oversaturated and it’s not getting any better any time soon.

Both of them are good majors but for opprotunities job wise I would choose Microbiology. If you are still interested in the medical sciences like biomed you can choose that as your minor, but at least you have a standing major (Micro) that will get you a job that is in your interest prior to your likings of the medical sciences.

and what do you think about the BIMS being just for meeting the pre-med requirements and nothing more? that’s what really discouraged me, as many people in this forum say that we should avoid biomedical sciences BS. Is microbiology a more in-depth major?
