Biomedical Sciences OSU Class of 2022

For students who applied to the Biomedical Sciences major and are awaiting decisions.

My daughter is OOS (GA) and has applied to the Biomedical science major. This would be her top choice, but we also know how competitive it is! We went to visit OSU and met with a current student in the program and we were super impressed. Who else is waiting to hear?

30 ACT

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Accepted to OSU, Xavier, Dayton, and Akron.
Deferred by Case on 12/19.

My daughter just received an invitation for an interview for the Biomedical science major! She hasn’t even gotten her OSU acceptance yet,LOL! We are so excited, I guess I have to buy airline tickets… Anyone else?

@Stinamom Congratulations on your daughter’s interview! May i ask when your daughter submitted her application for the major?

She applied on the day it was due, the 15th of December I believe? Nothing like the last minute in our family…

I also was given an opportunity to interview. Luckily, I’m in state. I got my notification on January 8th and have my interview this Friday.

Any insight on questions asked? I know it uses the MMI format…any interviewer ask anything odd?

I interviewed on February 19th and received my acceptance letter (and $1000 scholarship) by mail today! I’m in-state.

@dangkat5 Congratulations!! Can you tell us how your interview went s

So that future applicants will be more comfortable and know what to expect?

@Meismeis Of course. It’s MMI format, but they give you a couple minutes before each short interview to read the question and think it over. I had a notepad with me (because I had a Mock Trial competition right after) and they let me jot down notes and things I wanted to talk about. The people were friendly and I actually enjoyed my interviews. Afterward, the interview with the program directors was really short also, but they are both extremely nice and friendly. Even just walking into the interview place, they immediately greeted us by name. Overall, the experience went by very quickly!
