Well, I'm really interested in both Math and Biology, and I want to find a major that would incorporate both of them, from a quick look it looks like biostatistics would be that major, can you help give me some information on what a biostatistics major would do, and also suggest any other majors if you think of them.

Also, I was thinking, if I don’t get into med school, what kind of job could I get with this major? and how hard would it be to get that job?

Also, it seems like there aren’t many courses required for this major, any suggestions on a second major or a minor?

Why not just major in statistics or applied math and take the pre-med courses on the side? With a few additional courses in economics/finance and/or computer science, you will have decent job or career opportunities in the usual areas that hire applied math and statistics graduates, as well as an edge in statistics applied to biology if there are any decent jobs available for that.

I was just thinking that it seemed like such a nice combination of all the things I’m interested in, and in good proportions too! Plus if I did the pre-med and applied maths, I’m not sure if I would have enough time for things like comp sci, or a psych/neuroscience minor which I’m interested in as well.

Are there any biometry majors here who can give me some information?
