Biotechnology certificate for ChemE

Hey all, quick question.

Would pursuing a certificate in biotechnology and biochemical engineering at NU (Certificate in Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering - Chemical & Biological Engineering - Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL) hurt chances for future employment in chemical engineering fields outside of biotechnology? I would hope not since the certificate is the same as completing chemical engineering regularly but with a few credits of extra biochemistry courses on top of it.

If I were to receive the degree and the certificate (it shows on transcripts unlike areas of specialization), I would imagine it would help chances for jobs in the biotech/biochemical engineering industry. However, if I decided to pursue one of the regular ChemE jobs, would this certificate look like I have little interest in those applications to employers?
