Is anybody here a biotech major? If so, how is it different from say a major in molecular biology or neuroscience in terms of preparing you for a job working in a laboratory or something of the sort? I am interested in hearing about the job prospects for biotech majors vs. neuroscience vs. molecular biology majors. Do they all prepare you well enough to get a job after graduation working in a lab but biotech is geared more towards working in a lab that deals just with biotech?

Also, what is it like being a biotech major at UC Davis? Is there a lot of hands on experience? Are the tests relatively similar to tests that molecular bio majors would take?

Additionally, is the biotech major a good idea for somebody interested in going to med school or would a more traditional degree like molecular bio or neuroscience be a better choice?
