The hardest task met with being biracial is people who refuse to believe you can be light skinned and still black. I am 25% african american, 25% puerto rican, and 50% white. I actually read an experiment conducted by people from Stanford and Rutgers that proved biracial people have a greater disadantage than both white AND fully black americans when applying to colleges and scholarships. Has anyone found a way to combat the unique prejudice we're met with?

The President of the USA is biracial - That should speak to the degree of success that is possible for you. Concentrate on the positives you offer, work hard toward goals, let your curiosity and interests guide you; don’t let some academic study defeat you in advance. You are an individual, not a category.
