Hi, I have taken the AP Bio test a couple years ago so I can’t take Bis 10 here at UC Davis. But one of my upper division classes requiers it or Bis 1a (is that even offered still?) as a pre req… so does that mean that my AP credit will count as the pre req course? Or do I have to take Bis 1a?

It’s now the BIS 2ABC series. The BIS 1ABC series no longer exist.

Your AP Bio credit does not count towards BIS 2A. UC Davis only accepts AP Bio credit towards BIS 10.

But anyway, by getting AP credit towards BIS 10, that’s like fulfilling the prerequisite.

So that means that the ap credit makes it so you don’t have to fulfill the prerequisite for the upper division course?

No. You still have to take the BIS 2 series in order to be able to do the upper division courses. BIS 10 is an intro course to Biology that non-biology/non-science majors take to fulfill major reqs.
