hey so i was just wondering if you're gay/bisexual, would that put you completely out of any sort of greek life at cornell??

No of course not.

I’m baffled to wonder why you would be concerned.

Cornell has a long standing non-discrimination policy that is not to be trifled with so there are severe consequences to this sort of discrimination.

Edit: I believe there are some greek organizations that are specifically for tglb oriented people if that is what you are looking for.

It wouldn’t, but some fraternities are so ridiculously selective that it may not even matter.

It definitely shouldn’t be a problem-- even “top houses” have a handful of gays. That being said, Islander is right…those houses are ridiculously selective (always less than 20 guys/ pledge class) so take that in to consideration.

The social director of my daughter’s boyfriend’s frat is gay. It’s not known as a traditionally lgbt-friendly frat, just worked out that way…

I know a few bi/gays in fraternities around campus. I don’t think its so much of a huge deal nowadays. I think it comes down to more with fit, attitude, and behavior.
