Bit confused as to the process of getting into Marshall

So I'm sophomore at a CCC applying as a junior transfer. College GPA is 3.81, Business major, and I currently have 83 quarter units completed. I've taken Trig/Precalc, and Statistics so far. I've also completed the English requirements.

I noticed to get into Marshall, you need to have completed business calculus.

Correct me if I'm wrong here; basically, if admitted to USC, I will start there as a business admin major during the fall of 2012. At that time, I can complete any prereqs I would need (such as business calculus).

Once that is all done, I can apply for admission to Marshall, correct?

Also, I have one quarter at CC left. Any classes you recommend I take that would increase my chances of getting into Marshall (if I even get into USC haha)?

Thanks everyone

Calculus/Business Calc is a requirement for transfer into Marshall. You cannot apply for transfer to Marshall without having completed it or being in the process of completing it(they’ll require a spring transcript to prove you passed it with a decent grade before giving you a decision).

If you have one quarter left I’d suggest completing Calculus and any classes that might fulfill the GE Category 1,2,3, or 5. They require you to take 4 & 6 once you transfer. Also complete any other transfer requirements you have not fulfilled yet.

Thanks for the answer. Okay, I see. So technically, I could get into USC at the moment (given I meet the minimum requirements), but I would have to finish the rest of the GE requirements before being able to get into Marshall, correct?

On the CommonApp, I’ve put my first major choice as Business Administration.

I guess the reason I’m getting confused is because no where on the app does it specifically mention “USC Marshall”, so I’ve gotten the notion that transfers are applying to USC, must complete those requirements, then they can transfer Marshall.

PS. Yeah, looks like 4 & 6 must be taken after transfer.
