If money is an issue, you should not apply to out-of-state public schools.

You won’t get any $ from any OOS public U. Your best option would be to get into a school that meets full need, but with your stats that will be very difficult. I believe your most affordable option will be to attend a local CC and move to a PA four year after getting your associate’s degree.

Take off all the OOS publics, they won’t give you money.

Your safeties aren’t safeties unless you’re sure that you have all costs covered.

Run the Net Price Calculators on your safeties. If they expect your family to pay or expect your family to take out loans, then they’re not safeties.

Your safety is likely your local CC or state univ.

Run the NPCs and see what results you’re getting. Your schools don’t give great aid at all.

Slippery Rock is a great school and has a wonderful equestrian center on campus. It is economical, especially for in-state. The professors really work with the students to help them succeed. Campus is beautiful, lots of rolling hills. They also seem to work with students to try to keep costs down as much as possible. I have a junior there who is extremely happy with her choice.

You need to run the net price calculator on each school’s web site to get a financial aid estimate.
