Biz Econ/ Econ 11 and 101

I want to know if it would be a good idea to take both ECON 11 and 101 in the same quarter.

Does anyone have a friend who has taken these classes? What do they think?

Let me know! :)

Isn't Econ 11 a pre-requisite for Econ 101?

Econ 11 is a pre-requisite to Econ 101, therefore you cannot take them both in the same quarter.

Oh shoot I didn't realize that! Thanks guys. I thought I had a good reason to taking those two classes separately.

Econ 11 and 101 have the same course title - Microeconomic Theory.

Does that just mean that 101 is going to be harder? As in 11 is Intermediate, and 101 is Advanced?

maybe. But the thing is, the 101 professor in the coming fall is ***, so I want to keep me as far as possible from the class. This makes me reconsidering about taking 11 in this summer.

Who is the 101 professor for the fall? I actually found 101 to be easier than 11. I think a lot of it has to do with the professor.

kind of on a tangent but will 120B with Klein over the summer kill me?

only 1 class in 1 summer can't kill anyone ^_^. even the worst one.

how do you guys know who the prof is for fall? i thought schedule wasn't out yet..

check in URSA in "Find a class to enroll" The 101 professor in the coming fall is buddin if I remember correctly

Who is this "Board, S.A." teaching for Econ 11 in fall?!

Should I risk it with this new prof or wait it out and take it with the more reputable Hellwig/McDevitt for Econ 11?

Where do you guys find information for the UCLA professors? I can't find all of them on rmp so I figure there might be a different one?

in bruinwalk.something about UCLA professors.
Many people said Board Amy is a very good instructor. There is a thread about her. You can find it

what about 1 class + internship + planning for fraternity for fall quarter? Heheh. x_x

Yeah check out bruinwalk.com and login with your UCLA ID..

I think I answered my own question. Board, S.A. is Simon Board, who is an assistant professor according to the econ website...hmm...

LOL rosedust...pikachu.. ;]
