I want to major in Political Science with a minor in French and Philosophy. I applied to SFS at georgetown. I am African-American male who lives in the poor section of a city. I was a lucky one. Recs will be excellent

your chances are 10%, same as everyone else. You are definitely at the higher end of minorities, but you rank may hurt you.

i don't think your chances are 10 %. They are probably higher. I think everyone has a different chance based on what they bring to the table. You have average stats, but you're a URM with good EC's. Those hooks might give u a bump, but I Yale is still a huge reach.

wow, you've completed and mailed all your other applications! congrats...haha, i've hardly looked at them...

Top Ten Reasons to Procrastinate:
1.

Wow. Good job finishing all your apps. I wish I had. The fact that you've handed them in so early will help you.

On your chances, I would say you are definately at the higher end of the all URM test takers, but not at the higher end of URM applicants to top schools. Among them, you're middle of the pack, at best.

I know nothing about anything, but here's my take on your list. Well picked schools, by the way.

Yale(EA) - probably not
Stanford - probably not
Harvard - probably not
Tufts - maybe
Columbia - maybe
Darmouth - likely
University of Chicago - probably in, if you have a good essay
Fordham - in, with money

Amherst - the less likely side of maybe
Morehouse - in, with money
NYU - almost guarenteed
UPenn - likely
Dickinson - in, with money
