No offense meant to you laxboy, but what's up with people putting their ethnicity in the subject line of posts? I'm happy that you're proud of being black, and that the kid from China is happy being a "chinaman"... but it just seems strange the way you identify yourself that way on CC. Anyone agree?

No i dont. If he didnt put his ehnicity people would have said not good enough. But when your of ethnicity your chances increses.

id like to know why this same post has been repeated in every single forum... once is enough laxboy.

You have a very good chance in all of them. It's also impressive that you got them all in so quickly.

I don't really care about people labelling themselves by ethnicity, but I know that I would not want to be called a "Chinagirl" or "Chinadoll" or anything like that, just to carry on the ethnicity thread of conversation.

I would have to say no at the most highly selective colleges ... that is to say, Harvard, Stanford.

Affirmative action will get you in at a great number of the other schools, despite SAT I scores that are well below average.

Joey

lemme try to help a brotha out. RETAKE SAT1. do it now go to college board and sign up for the january. then when u get 1400+ come back to cc and repost this thread. then u got a good shot at harvard. and the track thing will help you that is if your div1 level. are you recruited? however ur ecs do look good but it mat appear to the adcom that you lack passion. unless you dedicate alot to track.

What are you talking about kerron69 I founded most of the ECs and had the opportunity to get to France and England.

That's pretty harsh. He doesn't know you well enough to know the extent and depth of your ECs. Calm down. No one on these boards can give you an accurate 'yes' or 'no' for chances. We are not admissions officers. :)

dat is sooooooooo true people on the board act as if their admission officers. Even if you feel that someone would not get it looking at the good or the bad you dont have to be nasty about it. Let the person be optimistic
