Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! Black Friday sales are coming and are supposed to be better deals than a year ago. No idea if that’s true or not… please feel free to share your good BF/CM finds and deals here!
not much of a deal, but I had thought I’d get jump on the shopping three weeks ago and got a coffee grinder and cold brew machine from Amazon that Goskid2 wanted for Xmas. Should have known to wait. BLack Friday sales hit, so I’m returning and re-buying. It’s fairly convenient for me to return…saving me $30+. And lucky for me, I hesitated to buy a requested Bonobos Jacket. Went from $168 to $118.
I bought myself a HexClad 5 qt Dutch oven I’ve been looking at for quite some time. Amazon just dropped the price by 20% - not incredible, but I’ll take that! This size seems hard to come by; it is either a 3 qt pot or 8 qt one!
The compressor of our fridge failed…again. Apparently there was a class action lawsuit about it for this exact model. Just my luck. The compressor that LG replaced just last year is a newer version of the same defective one that broke before.
So, any good Black Friday deals for refrigerators?
Converse sneakers are 40% off…I mayhave bought myself some
Someone on another thread recommended GrandeBrow. I ended up trying it as I had a couple of thin spots on each brow. The stuff is amazing…took 6 weeks, but wow…huge difference.
Anyway, it’s 30% off on their website. I ordered 3 tubes which should last me a year since I’m only using it every third day now.
I like SlickDeals for general Black Friday deals. You can sort by user rating of deal score. Highest rated is the Hulu deal listed below. The TV deal and Peacock streaming deal listed below are also among the top 10.
My purchases and expected purchases include:
- 65" TCL TV for $228 - $35 = $193 – This is a bedroom TV that will get under 3 hours per week of use, so don’t mind that it is not the highest quality TV.
- $50 off $50+ Purchase at Target – Bought a fan, spackle, dog toys, and groceries. Total was $50.19 after 5% discount
- $50 off $50+ coupon at Target – I plan to use this one online. Haven’t decided on items.
- $20 - $20 = $0 for 1 year of Peacock Streaming
- $1/month Hulu
- $1/month MGM+ – I mostly got this to catch up on the new season of From
- Uber – $40 off $40+ purchase – May not be specifically BF, but expires in Nov
- Uber – 50% off $80 for groceries – May not be specifically BF, but expires in Nov
- Bank bonuses – Reviewing and will make choice this week
The Target $50 off 50+ coupon looks like a great deal, but I don’t see it on the Target website or the Slickdeals website. How did you find it?
See Target: Apply for a New RedCard, Get One-Time Coupon . The purchases I made today at Target were for the Redcard reloadable account bonus.
I’m familiar with the target coupon offer, but can’t seem to find the $50 off $50+ purchase…
It’s on the Target website at RedCard: Save 5% at Target .
The Redcard reloadable bonus is a $50 credit on a $50+ purchase using your Redcard reloadable. The credit is applied within 30 days of purchase, if I recall correctly.
The Redcard debit card bonus is a $50 coupon that must be uploaded to the Target app. The $50 coupon is applied immediately, but has a long list of restricted items.
They offer a similar bonus multiple times per year, and many people can claim multiple times (approval varies by user). I have done the $40 off $40+ Target purchase bonuses ~8x in the past year.
I already have a Target Red card (credit card) so am not eligible for either of those $50-off offers. Darn!
There is no default restriction among credit card users, although a good portion of people who apply are rejected for unclear reasons. Some people report being initially rejected, then suddenly being approved a short time later.
I received the bonus twice because I applied for both the debit card and reloadable. I was approved for both and received bonuses for both. I didn’t apply for the credit card because I don’t think it is a desirable credit card compared to other alternatives.
Because I already have the credit card, it appears that the $50 off reloadable card offer isn’t available to me. So I wasn’t rejected, I can still apply for the debit card, I just don’t get the $50 offer.
Saks has $75 off a $150 spend ($75 is in the form of a gift card)

People on SD have reported having all 3 cards at the same time and receiving bonuses for all 3 without issue, but I trust that it is not working for you.
I used the JetBlue vacation package to book a trip to London. Normally, “vacation package” from airlines arent good deals.
However, this one actually was for us because you can limit the vacation “deal” to just 1 hotel night so we picked a cheap hotel for a day and when you took off the discount code (which was hundreds more than the cost of the hotel) we ended saving a lot at the end off the actual flight - which is what we really wanted. The remaining nights, we’re using hotel points.
