uh...so yea...pack your bags...your going to.....
New Haven, Connecticut...for 4 years! :)

I think you have just about an equal chance of being accepted as someone like Alex Zhai, Evan O Dorney, or Joseph Chu....which essentially is 100%....

nice app. i think you have a solid shot at yale even without legacy/african american

just by being black + legacy, you're in.
you gotta suck like nothing to be rejected...

And I got to read his essays! They blew my mind away! And he has a resume that brought me to tears. I think Rocky would've gotten into Yale anyway. Truly, he's so amazing.

............

I would say 75%-85% you are in

just by being black + legacy, you're in.

^^^x2

congrats on your stats man! Even if Yale doesn't take you, I'm sure either Harvard, Princeton, or Stanford would gladly! :D

omgggg yerr s000000r going 2 yeahl!

amazing stats! u should think about how to celebrate several weeks later :)

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Um. I disagree.

If eating food gets accepted to these schools, which he likely will, it is because of his own merit, not because of the fact that he is black and a legacy.

OH MAN. I AM 150 POINTS AWAY ON SAT FROM BEATING YOU!!!! and im urm. ;)

Does no one else think this guy is arrogant?

What can I say? You have a great resume and variables that point your way. I am applying to Yale as well; early action. Good luck, man. I hope that we see each other in New Haven!

oh dear... why do you think i'm arrogant!

hahahaha wait i love how everyone on CC thinks that i am.

Not arrogant. Just this was a pointless, fishing-for-compliments thread (as are many in this forum) and I'm sure you knew it.

hey man, you worked hard. props to you, you would have a great chance at yale even if you weren't a URM legacy.

well it may look that way to you, but here's the way i see it:

1) i'm ranked 29/330 in my class - which isn't the rank of the typical ivy league acceptee
2) my SATs/SAT2s aren't high enough to compensate for my lacking rank
3) if i don't get into yale, then my chances at other schools are lesser because i don't have legacy anywhere else except for penn.... and i doubt that my chances are that great at those because even URMs who are accepted are at least the top 5% of their class
4) one person has already been accepted to yale from my school (athlete) and in general my school is very competitive: everyone is applying to ivies and many of them are very smart!

Just so i'm clear: i'm not fishing for any compliments! I'm scared out of my mind for what's to come in december and april, just like anyone else :(

You are in at Yale, simply stated. Legacy AND URM AND you have stellar grades. Good job. Yale-Match, Chance me too please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/592997-help-help-potential-nyu-stern-applicant.html
