<p>Natl Achievement Semifinalist…projected finalist…i didnt get natl merit because I took the test high on oxycontin in a wheelchair 4 days after major surgery</p>

<p>Varsity Football until career-ending knee injury last year (required major surgery, I tore 3 ligaments + hamstring + broke fibula + tore peroneal nerve, it was 5 months until I could walk without crutches, and I can still barely jog)</p>

<p>I work as an intern at Washington Mutual Bank, have done so since spring of 2003</p>

<p>I was selected for the LEAD Summer Business Institute at University of Pennsylvania this last summer</p>

<p>Im looking to study international relations and economics, and hopefully somehow tie in latin american studies and african studies. Im also very interested in the middle east, and I want to learn Arabic in college, on top of the Spanish I already speak. this would all of course happen under the auspices of the wharton school lol.</p>

<p>don't do wharton early. with stats like yours, you're definitely better of getting a sound liberal arts education at a top ivy. you've got the financial background already, do business as a grad student.</p>

<p>ethioman-- Look into the Huntsman Program at Penn. It sounds like it would really fit what you want to do. It's a double-major program that really tries to mix liberal arts and business. You graduate with a BA in International Studies from the College and a BS in Economics from Wharton. Students in the program also often have third majors and/or multiple minors so you could do business, Latin American Atudies, and African American Studies all at the same time. I really love the Hunstman Program and I am applying there early. I suggest you visit the website (<a href="http://www.upenn.edu/huntsman%5B/url%5D"&gt;www.upenn.edu/huntsman&lt;/a&gt;) and if you have any questions, feel free to IM me or send me an e-mail. I'd be happy to tell you more about the Program. In the end, though, you have great stats and I'm sure you'll be happy wherever you end up!</p>

<p>Um, the chances of you not getting accepted to Wharton or anywhere for that matter are next to none. Even without your minority status you'd have extremely high chances at acceptance, and the fact that you are Black makes you a lock with your stats at literally anywhere in my opinion.</p>
