Hey everyone..this is my first post on this thread. I take all honors and AP classes at a private school in maryland. My school doesnt weight grades. I have a 3.7 GPA unweighted and a 4.2 weighted...sophemore year killed me..and i have a 2030 SAT score. I am also very involved in extracurriculars. I currently have a job at the Department of Education and hope to get a job at CDC (center of disease control) during the summer because i want my major to focu on medicine. My school does not rank. I'm out of state tho but is there a chance i could get in.

Very good chance. Do you know what your rank is?

good chance bro...go for it

mmm how do you know you have a 4.2 weighted if your school doesn't weight... that lost me.

SATs could go a bit higher but that's pretty good.

Do you have a passion? Like an extracurricular you are REALLY involved in?

I say your chances are pretty good too

Cavalier302... and others... what entitles you guys to make judgements on quality of applications? Are you students or counselors?

sorry i meant they dont rank...sorry about that

anyotherday, I'm a student at UVA and I've been following admissions related stuff since I was a junior in HS. As a URM with those numbers, the OP has a very good chance. I could produce empirical data, if you'd like.

anyotherday-

nothing qualifies me...i just look at his stats and compare them to people ive seen before, some whove got in, some who havent.....its up to him to choose to believe it or not

looks like cavalier is qualified though :)

also... I'm not trying to be offensive... but goodcolleges is also a minority.

Could I please see the empirical data, cavalier? Thank you very much.
