<p>Hi guys. On the common app I checked the option that said that I’m Black or African amercian. Although I am Black (I’m from Ethiopia, Africa) I am not African american.Am I just overreacting or was I wrong? I’m really getting nervous…</p>

<p>I’m sure it doesn’t matter. But, on the Common App, it said “Black and/or of African Descent” I believe. You fall under that category.</p>

<p>Also, African-American, for all intents and purposes, is a nationality. Not a race.</p>
