I got an email for the BSAI today does this mean i got in? and did anyone else get one ?
In years past, that has been a “likely letter,” and I’d assume your formal admission will follow at month’s end. CONGRATULATIONS on this truly outstanding accomplishment, Class of '19 Dukie.
Yes I got one also! Today in the afternoon! I did my research (everywhere) and everyone says it’s pretty much a likely letter. Congrats!
CONGRATULATION to all and ABSOLUTELY ATTEND (trust me, you will first meet some lifelong – and I do mean 60+ years – friends that weekend)!!!
Yay! I got one too!
I really want to go but I’m pushing it with absences at school, lol.
wait so weve all gotten into duke? OH MY GOSH THIS IS AMAZING
@drblack: I wonder if you asked your school’s administration if you could provide a brief report (<5 pages), within a week of your return, which detailed what you learned, what Duke was like, your living arrangements, what the formal program and events included, who (generally) participated, and so forth if this could be considered an “academic field trip,” thereby not an absence? Surely, that might be a valuable reference for future seniors in the school’s library and guidance office. Just a thought.
@TopTier i never thought of this. This is an amazing idea! Thank you so much
Absenses wont penalize me for graduation though, only for final exams (as a senior, eligible to be exempt from all exams).
Going to this is worth having to take and get passable grades some exams that won’t even matter a year from now.
Glad to help and hope it works out . . . and you can always remember that on your first full day as a Dukie, you had an example of all of us sticking together and cooperating!
@bluedevil06 youre right. although I must say that my indelible need to preform well on any challenge I take regardless of my level of enthusiasm is one of the things that got me this letter
I really, really know the feeling. Trust me. But it’s time to stop worrying about kicking butt in high school. You did it. You got into one of the best schools in the country. Now it’s time to start worrying about the rest of your life, and the next four years are way more important than a few hours you’ll have to spend taking some stupid tests in May :).
this feels so good!! the stress is all off my shoulders
i had been beating myself up for not being liklied by penn or darmouth and now this happend- it feels like a blessing
@bluedevil06 that advice was so sweet of you. thank you so much!
