Hey guys, I am a junior at Penn State currently in the process of interviewing for summer internships. I recently had a Super Day with BlackRock and feel fairly confident of my chances, and am anxiously awaiting an offer from Merrill.

My question is which should I choose? I know for sure that Investment Mgmt. is where I want to be, but which internship would be a better fit upon graduation? I am trying to get a feel as far as salary potential, exit opportunities, MBA admissions, progression up the hierarchy at the respective firms, etc.

Thanks for the help.

BlackRock and Merrill Lynch are essentially the same company but I would choose PAG over GPC if you want to be in the investment management side.

dude Blackrock is one of the most reputable IM firms out there. If you get an offer, do not pass it up for GPC at ML. GPC is private wealth management, which is essentially just working for financial advisors, nothing to analytical about the work there and its not exactly investment management.

PAG is also 80 hours a week for almost no money…sweat shop labor when you really only learn IT skills and a glorified help desk
