My town's Rec director wrote me a letter of recommendation. Sadly, SHE SPELLED MY NAME WRONG TWICE ON THE LETTER. Do you think that's a big deal? Or should I request the name to be fixed?

I just don't want an awful message sent to some schools with the misspelling.

Hmm...It's kind of strange that the person who's writing your letter of recommendation doesn't even know how to spell your name. I would request that the spelling be fixed, but you're probably okay.

Yea, I've known her for about half of my life and I work for her every year. Lame.

Just tell her and don't act upset-just a "just wanted to let you know that my name is spelled....could I pick up a letter with the changes on (date?). Thanks! sort of thing

One of my son's letters had his name misspelled. He didn't bother about asking the teacher to fix it. I doubt it would matter at all, but it's your call.

I'm just worried about the message that sends. Out of the about seven times she mentions my name, twice it is spelled incorrectly.

If it's spelled correctly the other then they'll just think it's a typo?

I think the only message it sends is that the letter writer goofed. What are you worried it will suggest?
