"Blah" Most Nearly Means- HELP ON THESE TYPE OF QUESTIONS!!!

I can NEVER get these questions right.

What do you guys do for these questions:

In line X , " " Most nearly means.....

So confused

read two lines before; read two lines after.
these are the questions that you should’nt get wrong. o_O

To solve those, insert each answer choice for “blah,” and read the sentence. Only one will make any type of sense at all. For example

His incensed reaction to the speaker’s charged remarks was not surprising.

Charged most nearly means:
a) rife
b) electrified
c) attacked
d) controversial

Substitute each word for “charged” and only “controversial” makes sense. Sometimes the context clues will come from a sentence above or below, like timmy said, so be sure to read those too.
