Hahahaha...yeah, they would make the NCAAs for winning the tourney...but there's about a snowball's chance of that happening.

In terms of NIT chances, we're 14-13 now. We've got Georgia Tech, BC, and State coming up...we have a chance of beating Tech on the road. Beating BC and State aren't looking too great right now, so that would put us at 15-15. We'll probably be out of the ACC tourney the first day (15-16)...or we might possibly make it to the next day and lose (16-16). So basically we're on the bubble right now. However, according to ESPN.com, the NITs have changed the rules so you can be less than .500 and still get an invitation. WF, as a pretty "big-name" basketball school, might have the name power to be able to get one of those sub-.500 invitations. Personally, I think if you're under .500, you shouldn't deserve to go to postseason play, but that's just me.

I think it's pretty much time to declare this season shot, and move on to looking at next year, hopefully with Skip still as the head coach (I hope!)

No, I don't think they've lost hope, because they're still playing with heart. They are playing pretty sloppy - the crazy cross-court passes and throwing it out of bounds, for example - and I don't know if it's bad communication or bad team chemistry or something else...I can't tell. I can see glimpses of how they SHOULD be playing - first half Carolina game, for example, or when they finally got serious in the second half last night and JGray hit the clutch 3 to go to overtime. Skip is coaching them as best he can, but he can't go do it for them. They've got to go get it done on the court and tighten up their game some.
