<p>@mango.lassi - the point is not to analyze it now. I believe the information will be valuable AFTER decisions are released, so we can see if there is any correlation between the day your decision was made and the outcome of the decision.</p>

<p>quantize, counterpoint is, we have the cycles now to fill in the brain w/ analysis and overanalysis of what is going on. After the decision, either way, we would hopefully move onto the bigger and better things, and not worry about correlations. Also who knows if the blank line has anything to w/ decision having been made. </p>

<p>I didn't apply for fin aid, so it can't be need. I didn't interview, so it can't be the interview report, and I only applied to one school within CMU so it can't be the third option either. I'm inclined to believe it's the day the decision is made because that's what they said when someone called.... why would they lie?</p>
<p>@mango - Someone called CMU admissions and confirmed that the blank line means a decision was made. That's why I started this thread. Maybe he's wrong, but I'm taking his word for it.</p>
<p>Also, it's not that I really care about the correlation, because it will be too late to affect me. I just thought the information would be useful to future applicants.</p>
