blanket/sheet/pillow

Do most students bring sheets/pillows etc from their home or just buy some from berk? I got a mail a few days back from the "ASUC LINEN PROGRAM" offering various packages. Does anyone know about these offers? Apparently its endorsed by the UCs. Should i just buy one of these paks and save myself the hassle of dragging all the stuff from home?

shoddy stuff, avoid it. Most retail stores (e.g. Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart, Target) have packages like this at better value and better quality.

I do recall UC saying that it has slightly longer beds…but in all honesty…I rather save the money. I mean, I am pretty sure the transportation fee is MUCH less than buying a new set [and some people sleeps better in their own sheet]

im pretty sure by slightly longer, they mean twin xl. the twin xl sheets from other stores should fit.

It’s a ripoff to buy from that catalog or whatever. Just go for the Twin XL/Extended from Target/Wal-Mart/Bed, Bath and Beyond

No, actually in my case the transportation cost is MUCH more :frowning: . I live 12 thousand kilometers away and i can’t possibly carry all the pillows and blankets. So i’m just trying to find the right place to buy all these once i reach Cal.

[Offering XL twin sheets, college dorm bedding, dorm linens, storage, bath essentials](<a href=“Namecheap Education Program: Free Domains for Students”>Namecheap Education Program: Free Domains for Students)

^^ this is the package i’m talking about. Any thoughts?

Once you get up here, there is a Target and various other stores that WILL sell Twin XL sheets. Don’t worry about it too much. And don’t buy from the ASUC linen program.

Target, Wal-Mart etc. sell for much cheaper and aren’t that far away. They sell lots of sheets and pillows. Save yourself the hassle on the plane ride and checked in baggage.

ok thanks.

so how far are Wal-Mart and Target ??

Like everyone else, avoid that company – heard they are bad quality, discolor, fall apart, etc.

If you know your address and room number, go to the bed bath and beyond website or the target website, purchase the things you need on their website and have them sent to you at Berkeley. That way, they will be here when you arrive.

ok. thanks. that was very helpful. i think i’ll do that.

BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY cheap stuff :-D

Well, and then there’s always shipping…depends…but it might comes down cheaper.

Bed, Bath, and Beyond has that thing where you order online they’ll deliver it to one of their stores nearby Cal for you to pick up.

^^ cant they just ship it straight to my room?
