what are my chances, for regular admission, waitlist, or blinn team?
i really want to get into a and m, on blinn team.
3.0gpa
550 reading
530 math
470 writing,
african american

top 40%
i applied in january...

do i have a shot?

also, have they begun sending out blinn team/wait list notifications?

you probably have a decent shot, check your AIS to see if you were offered the waitlist/blinn team options , i chose to be waitlisted without the blinn team

you think so?!
would you mind sharing your stats with me,
or the stats of anyone you know who got into blinn team?
also, what were your options besides waitlist without blinn team?

Blinn Team is the last to be offered. I have no idea what your chances are, iffy at best. If you had applied in Fall, you might have had a better shot.
Standard questions:
What majors did you request.

Did you show interesest in A&M by going to official campus tour, visit a satellite admissions center, go to one of the High School Day events, any HS camps at A&M?

my stats are very similar to yours my sat reading is 540 but my math was low at 470, but i am Top 25% (66/290) and i applied in november, they made a decision for me last week, and like i said i picked waitlist, if A&M doesnt accept me i will probably go to Tech or SFA for a year because i ultimately want to transfer to UT my sophomore year

and i didnt show any interest besides contacting the OAR through the tamu portal thing, but lol i doubt that even counts

okay.
so you do you think a person in the top 38% with a 1000(combined)
has a better chance than someone with a (1080) in the 45%, or vice versa?

yea probably because they are ranked higher, but then again you never know. i guess it really just depends on how many people decide to go to other schools, and how the admissions team is feeling, hopefully a good amount of people go to other schools. the more people that dont enroll the better your chances are

i got into tech, texas state, and u of h as well.
tamu is my first choice however,
i fell in love with it after visiting on aggieland saturday :)

that would make sense.
have rejection notices started going out yet?
is there an order, like acceptances, then rejections, then waitlist, then blinnteam?

wishful, just a heads up on the timeline. My nephew didn’t hear that he got into Blinn Team until the morning of graduation (end of May) last year, so it may be a while!!!

thanks! the anticipation is just driving me insane D:
haha, i just want to knowwwww
i want to call and talk to an admissions counselor, are they open today?
