Blog as an activity?

I'm applying to Cornell CALS (and other schools, but Cornell's first choice) to major in Nutrition & minor in global health. I run a nutrition/fitness blog where I basically share information I read or find and promote healthiness! I've had it for almost all of high school and I spend about an hour a day on average working on it. Would it benefit me to include this on the common app? If so, what would be the best way to word it? I listed it as Position: "Nutrition/health blog owner" and Details: "Share information I've learned about nutrition and fitness, promote mind and body healthiness" but I feel like that sounds strange.

Thanks!

If you’re really passionate about it and have dedicated a lot of time and energy to it… then why not? :)

I think it’s really good.

I also have a Mathematics blog where I just share my passion for Mathematics. I believe a lot of college are looking for students who follow their passion outside of the classroom and blogging is a really cool way to do it.

I would suggest “Nutrition/health blogger” instead of “Nutrition/health blog owner” but that’s just me.

“Blogger” haha I feel stupid for not thinking of that! Thank you! :)
