Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan

Hi guys, I just received my eFan couple days ago. It stated that I am a Blue and Gold Opportunity Grant recipient. I got a few questions:

What is this grant?

How much does it give me?

Does this grant covers the remaining fees of what I have to pay? Right now I am $9200 short after the scholarships and cal grants.

If it does, then why does the work study/loan option is avaliable for me?

Thanks

It means that if your family makes less than 70k per year, combined, grants/scholarships will cover your fees (as in school fees, not housing).

So this is not a grant?

If you got Cal Grant A…that is the blue and gold opportunity plan. The B&G Plan is basically saying that…if your family makes less than 70K per year, and you turned in your GPA verfication form before March 2 and u turned in FAFSA, then they will automatically, basically, pay off your UC tuition, but that doesn’t include room&board and books and etc. So basically if you don’t originally qualify for Cal Grant A, then you get the blue and gold plan, but they just put it under the Cal Grant A. This is what Im getting when i look at my financial stuff. If im wrong please correct me guys~

Nope, that’s correct.

my out of pocket expenses are $9,200… not bad when the overall tuition is close to $30,000.
