Blue Book Math problem...

(test 8 btw)
It was one of those exponential decay problems with a car value, blah blah blah. Anyway the function given was 5000(.8)^n with n=years since the purchase. It asked what year after the purchase would the car be worth 3200. I got 2 years because:

immediately after the purchase- worth 5000 (.8)^0=1 and 5000x1=5000
After 1 year- worth 4000
After 2 years-3200. So I picked B, 2 years. The book says 3 years.

what the hell?

Hahahahaha. I took this test 4 days ago. The answer is two. Books can make mistakes too.

Oh thank God. I did horrible on the section of this test, at least I got another 1.25 raw points to work with :D. I swear the BB tests put me through an emotional roller coaster.

Go have some fun.

Do you have this?

http://us.macmillan.com/splash/bookseller/documents/2009/09b_640_SAT_SG_Errata_WEB_090728.pdf

^ Yeah I do. I actually checked that sheet before I took the test to see if there was anything messed up on my test, I just didn’t see it.
