Blue Book Math Question - typo?

Test 5, Section 2, #13:

The total daily cost c, in dollars, of producing x units of a certain product is given by the function

c(x) = [(600x-200)/x] + k

where k is a constant and x<= 100. If 20 units were produced yesterday for a total cost of $640, what is the value of k?

a) 40
b) 50
c) 60
d) 590
e) 600

The BB lists (e) as correct choice. Am I missing something? The answer seems like it is 50 -- i.e., plug in x=20 and you have k=50. Is this a typo in the BB?

never mind. There is a typo! (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/753323-typo-new-blue-book.html</a>)

Go, check the yellow paper at the end of the blue book…It mentions ALL the errors in the book with their corrections.

hmm… don’t see that. If it was a loose sheet of errata, my kid probably lost it… Thanks.

^Go to the nearest store, check the last page of any of the College Board’s Blue Books there and ask the librarian to print it for you or copy it down yourself.

thanks …

Actually you don’t even need to go get that sheet. The Blue Book Owner’s Area on the Collegeboard website has all the corrections.
