Blue Book or Princeton Review to raise SAT score?

I've learned that the Blue book from CB is more accurate, that's why I want to buy it...but it doesn't have the explanations for the solutions, while PR has very detailed explanations. Is there a way to get the explanations by typing in the BB code on the College board site?

So stick with Princeton Review's 11 tests with explanations?
Or BB which is more accurate and may or may not have explanations somewhere?

personally i think princeton review is better because you really learn from the explanations

Yes, you can get the explanations from collegeboard’s website. I suggest using Princeton Review first and then practicing with the BB.

I can recommend a good book for solutions to the new BB.

Let me know if you are interested for title of book etc. I utilized this for helping my 8th grader prepare for the SAT, it was very helpful.

princeton.

IV’e been wondering the same exact thing lol. everyone is saying the bluebook is the #1 choic, but what r practice tets w/out explanations, right? so, im prob gonna get the blue book, simply b/c everyone syas to, and at the end of the day i want a purely accurate prediction (and it’s only like 12 bucks, it cant hurt), but im definetly also gonna get that book with tons of practice tests, AND explanations. [everyone says practice tests are the top way to study. a kid in my school whom is going to a private college on a full scholarship said he got originally like a 580 on the math, and then after taking non-stop practice tests who got an 800!!! that gives me alot of hope :)

So i would prob get like a GRuber’s wtvr, and another content book specifically for CR english; so i have all the bases covered, and then get the 11 practice test book from princeton, and then collegeboard too. sadly, im not in the financial situation to get a tutor although that’ll prob be best.

ANywya i hope this helped :?

Do the blue book and then go to the khan academy website and watch the videos for the questions you missed.

It has in depth and easy to understand explanations of every problem in the whole blue book. There is no better way!

use only the blue book or questions from the collegeboard website. the “practice tests” that people like kaplan and princeton review make up are nothing like the real thing; trust me, most of them give me in the 500s on writing when i already scored above a 700. use only the official practice tests for practicing, though using the other brands for reviewing material is permissible.

But the explanations!! it looks like one source is khan academy…
But why doesnt CB release explanations?? There is no official explanations? What do the experts on CC using BB use

I thought there were solutions on the collegeboard website if you put in the answers you have for the BB practice tests, can someone confirm/refute this?

There are explanations for the Blue Book (at least the most recent edition, 2005, that I know of) on CollegeBoard’s website in the “Book Owner’s Area” ([Welcome to the Official SAT Study Guide Book Owner’s Area](<a href=“SAT Study Guide – SAT Suite | College Board”>SAT Study Guide – SAT Suite | College Board)). To access it you need the book (it will ask you a random question about the content of the book to get access). You can also plug in your answers for each of the tests as you do them and after you finish a test it will give an overview of how you did in specific areas (versus simply knowing your score with just the book).

You can get explanations for the Blue Book online, as people have already said. I used the BB and it suited my needs. It’s real SAT questions from the people who make the SAT, so you really can’t beat it.
