Blue Book Practice Tests and The Real SAT

Hey, everyone.

I know that the tests in the 'Blue Book' are the closest approximation to what one can expect when he or she sits for the SAT.

The tests that are in the Blue Book are those which were administered during the 2005-2007 time period.

For all those who have given the SAT (recently), could you please tell me whether the tests that have come in 2011 and/or 2012 were exactly similar to those administered in the past, or there any significant differences between them (for e.g difficulty etc)

They are similar.

The first three tests in the Blue Book are previously-released SATs; the last seven were created specifically for the Blue Book when the format changed in 2005. Still, they were created by the same test makers and are valid tests.

They should all produce a reliable practice test score, as long as you time yourself, take the test in a single session, and count for test anxiety or other test center issues.
