Blue Book Sat Tests Easier Than Official Tests??

I was wondering if the blue book tests (made by collegeboard) is easier than the actual tests they distribute on testing days.

Heck no. (10 char).

I never did a full one, but I did individual sections a couple times. and they were much more difficult than the January 06 test.

eh, all in all they seem to be at about the same difficultly level as the real tests...

just my 2 cents

ok then that's good.

How are they compared to the October test?

In my opinion, the CR and W sections in the CBBB are easier.

You all realize that your judging it from a limited perspective, we've all only taken a certain amount of tests, meaning we aren't the best judges of overall SAT test difficulty.

The truth is the average difficulty, when 'curves' are factored in, of any given test, is probably exactly the same, including the tests used in CB's Blue Book. Because of certain questions, the majority of which we may have an easier or harder time with, we assume that they're easier or harder, but the difficulty is roughly the same.

I took the test in April and May. I found the math about the same, CR about the same (maybe the actual test slightly more difficult), but Writing in the CB book is WAY easier than the actual test. Both times the writing was way harder than anticipated.

Overall, the CR questions are easier than those on the actual exam, the Math questions are about the same level, and the Writing questions, as one poster wrote, are probably easier than the real thing.

Murasaki=ignored.

The only thing any one of us can tell is how we found the tests compared to our practice. That's why everyone has different opinions on different parts of the tests. One poster before me said CR seemed easier, another said it seemed about the same. This proves my point exactly.

from my experience...the CB practice tests are much easier than the actual tests..and i would make sense...i mean that's a stradegy CB would use to prove that their guides are much more efficient...and they would love to hear people...after i studied the blue book...i aced the test?

i personally think the practice tests are much harder..

The real tests are much harder than the ones in the blue book.

lol.. then thats not good.

bump bump bump

I would say that the CB Blue Book tests and the real SAT are very comparable in difficulty.
I consistently scored mid-low 600s on CR, high 700s/800 on M, and high 700s on W in the Blue Book, and this was reflected in my real scores.
(CR 650 / 790 M / 800 W ; May05 test)

I score around 2250 range in the blue book, and around 2150 in the real tests. Then again that might be because I bombed on the essay and I didn't grade the blue book with the essay.

oh. asjdklf;aslksjdflasjdfk;

CB tests are modeled just liek the real tests

you guys probably think it's easy because you aren't pressured as much when you practice it yourself with a time limit rather than taking it with a time limit

Hell no blue book isn't easier.

When will people understand that all tests are equated to adjust for minor differences in difficulty? On top of that, taking a practice test is less pressure, like a poster above said. Even more so, you may just have problems with more questions on the actual SAT. This isn't even a question--CB makes all the tests and they vary very little in terms of difficulty--it's just a few questions that a single individual finds easier or harder.

Want me to prove my point?

Ask people on CC. Some will say Blue Book is harder, some will say its easier. It all has to do with perspective--in reality there is very little difference.

I've definately posted my point 3 times in this topic, but I'm glad some people agree.
