Blue book scaling

ahh i just finished a practice test in the blue book and my scaled score for writing came back to be 650-780. hmm why not just give me a scaled score of 200-800?

because when they publish bthe book they did not have any data to judge the score so they gave a range now they should publish the new book with the actual score and not the range

Mathproblems,

They could do that. But I think they give the range so that you know what your possible scores if you got the same number right/wrong on ANY SAT. Your range will cover all possibilities for any curve on any sat.

I would just take the average of the lowest and the highest scores of your range.

actually for writing, the score tends to be much closer to the smaller number (in your case i'd say 680).

How many did you get wrong?
