"BLUE HAIR" Sheet Music?

Please refer up to KatMT’s post #236. When this thread started, Joe Iconis was giving the song away for free - now that it is in place to sell it over the internet, that is how you should get it… New composers need to be supported in their work.

That being said, I would NOT recommend it for a college audition - if its enormous popularity on here is an indication, it is likely to be overdone. If it’s NOT overdone, the accompaniment and coordination can be rough if someone is sightreading it.

It is a TERRIFIC cabaret song… not as great an audition piece… it does not show off a lot vocally, and it is a story song that does not cut well into the 16 - 32 bars generally asked for at college auditions.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could send me the sheet music for blue hair by joe iconis as well!!! I have a college audition coming up at the end of february and would simply love to use the song and i emailed mr.
A VERY popular music-sharing site was shut down a bit ago, when someone posted work that happened to belong to a friend of someone who saw a link online.

For Joe Iconis to continue as a songwriter, he has to make a living at it - do it the right way!

I don’t have anything to trade, but I emailed Joe Iconis about a year ago hoping for the sheet music for “Blue Hair” and I never got a reply :frowning: I was hoping you could send it to me?? I would be so grateful!

Copying KatMT’s post from above (#236) about where to get this sheet music:

I think it is okay to say that the site is new musical theatre . com

You can purchase both Joey and Blue Hair… as well as other songs there. Since it is possible to purchase the music leagally, and download it immediately, it is probably best to do this so the artists can be paid for their work.

According to the website the site "is dedicated to the distribution and promotion of a new generation of musical theater writers who self-publish their own digital sheet music.

Its goal is to create a direct connection between the people who write music and the people who want to perform and listen to it. It provides an affordable and legal one-stop shop to discover and share the work of self-published writers. It aspires to foster a dynamic community where fans and actors can directly connect and impact the writers of tomorrow’s next big hits.

This is an e-commerce website designed by writers for writers. It allows fans to directly support writers when they need it most – before their shows go to Broadway."

hey I would love to take you up on your offer! I have been looking everywhere for those 2 songs so if you could send them to clairemiah_25■■■■■■■■■■■■ that would be amazing!

Joe Iconis and several songwriters have set up a website where you can purchase sheet music of their songs:

[New Musical Theatre - Sheet Music and Songbook Downloads](http://newmusicaltheatre.com/)

Could you send me both songs, I’d be eternally grateful!!! a1994r@hotmail.com
Thank you!!
-Aimee

Aimee - Look at the post just above yours - there is a website where you can buy the music.

Hi there! I was wondering if any of you could please send me “Blue Hair” and “Joey?” I would like to sing one of the songs for an audition that’s a few weeks from now! Thank you in advance!! :)

If you look back a couple of posts, you will find the website where you can purchase the music – although I haven’t used this one, typically, you make the purchase, and it downloads immediately to your computer - you’ll have your copy in a matter of minutes.

Can I get both as well? I would love to hve these for myself and some of my students.
