I am interested in taking AP Computer Science, but I would have to self-study the required prerequisites due to school policy and to the fact that I have no programming knowledge whatsoever. I downloaded the Blue Pelican textbook. Do you think this will book is at an easy level for a beginner to understand while teaching basic Java? Thanks</p>

<p>I did the first few lessons, and it’s quite understandable. It looks like it covers a lot more than what’s on the AP test, so coverage should not be an issue.</p>
