hey all,

I've decided to push my LSAT back to October after my most recent preptests have been all hovering around 165 while I still think I can push myself to the next level with more time. My LG is near perfect, my RC can get better and my LR is disastrous.

I have, contrary to my title, three options.

1.) Continuing the self-study I began less than a month ago. By far my worst section is LR, but I have kept a log of questions wrong and my weaknesses are becoming really apparent. I think I would want to spend a week only on a question type, go through it in the LRB, and practice practice practice. I'd also benefit from the RC bible coming out; I'd like to improve from -5 on RC to -2 .

I also recently bought a textbook on Reason and Argumentation that others have recommended.

Estimated cost: 80 dollars or less

2.) Blueprint Self Study. I heard they give you a lot of materials to go through, with a sound method, and increasing features like podcasts. Their LR strategy is supposedly top-notch.

Estimated cost: 700 dollars. I'd probably get the RC bible anyway so some more.

With both 1 and 2 I would have to get a lot better at time management. I've only managed to study so much recently is because there was a period of 2.5 weeks where I had nothing to do. But now between summer classes and jobs my weeks will be full again.

3.) Testmasters course beginning in July. I think hearing a teacher and other students' perspective on questions would be helpful. TM's materials seem to be very thorough and the course would be only 5 blocks from where I currently live.

However, the course would move at the pace of the rest of the class, which I presumably will have a headstart on. Perhaps even I may waste time with concepts I already know. But it will force me into at least 8 hours/week of prepping, while my summer and fall schedules will be tight.

There's also the risk that their method might conflict with the (generally) Powerscore methods I already have.

Estimated cost: 1450 dollars

Have any one you been in a similar situation? Any advice?
