Do they have another chance at RD where their acceptance status can be jumped to BME program?

Yes they have another chance. Even if you have been rejected RD, you can get accepted Sophomore year.

i thought transfering from non-BME into BME in JHU is not possible, or nearly impossible in reality.

..um.. javis, are there many students do that??

p.s: is it something that originial BME applicant get something special treatment or anyone who's interested in BME during freshman year can apply and transfer to BME?? man. i was 95% sure about that BME program in JHU gets no transfer students

It is possible. A large number of BME students drop out each year (10-15 students), many of those spots are taken up by Bio Mol/Chem Es. Transferring is possible, but it's difficult.

my mom's accountant's daughter did that. She transferred from Neuroscience to BME on her first day this year.

what are the chances of getting accepted ED but not getting BME ED?
